EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN-PARAMEDIC REFRESHER
The Paramedic Refresher program is offered in compliance with policy established by the EMS Division of the Department of Health and Environmental Control and is designed to meet the recertification training requirements for Paramedics. The forty-eight hour course follows the U.S. Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration National Standard Curriculum. The certification exam will consist of a state written and practical exam consisting of the following stations:

Patient Assessment/Management
Ventilatory Management (Adult & Dual Lumen Airway Device)
Cardiac Arrest Skills (Dynamic and Static Cardiology)
Pediatric Skills (Ventilatory Management & IO)
Oral Patient Management Station
IV Therapy and Medication Skills
Random Basic Skill
