Advanced EMT Bridge Course
This 128 hour course is required for all current Intermediates and will include the following:

  • Pharmacology
    Overview, drug calculations, drug routes, drugs: aspirin, narcan, D50, glucagon, albuterol, alupent, epinephrine, nitroglycerine, oral glucose
  • Pharmacology Skills
  • Anatomy & Physiology
    Overview, respiratory, cardiac, shock, airway
  • Airway
  • Overview, drug calculations, drug routes, drugs: aspirin, narcan, D50, glucagon, albuterol, alupent, epinephrine, nitroglycerine, oral glucose
  • Assessment
    New terminology, pulse oximetry, end tidal CO2, initial, secondary, trauma, medical
  • Assessment Skills
  • Medical
  • Cardiac ACS, hypertension, cardiogenic shock, CPR, AED, asthma, COPD, nebulizers, pneumonia, seizures, CVA, syncope, diabetes, infectious disease, psychological, GU
  • Medical Skills
  • Trauma, Shock & Resuscitation
  • Head, thoracic, abdominal, spinal, soft tissue, special considerations, shock, resuscitation
  • Pediatrics
  • OB/GYN emergencies, pediatric resuscitation

All initial students must complete an Enrollment Agreement in person at the Council office in order to enroll in the LCREMSC program. Students must make an appointment to complete the Enrollment Agreement by calling Lisa Wood at (843) 529-0977.
